We warmly invite you to the final panel discussion accompanying the exhibition “Community Happens Here” by steidle architekten on Wednesday, 1 July, at 7:00 pm at Architekturgalerie München.
Under the title “Community Reflected”, steidle architekten will enter into dialogue with cultural practitioners who actively shape urban space through their work and generate forms of collective experience. Together, we will explore how future modes of coexistence might be imagined and negotiated, with:
Christian Stückl, Artistic Director, Munich Volkstheater
Juliane Köhler, Actress, Residenztheater Munich
Anne Schönholtz, Violinist and Podcaster, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
Markus Lanz, Photographer
Nicola Borgmann Architekturgalerie München
Johannes Ernst steidle Architekten
Johann Spengler steidle Architekten
The performative practices of theatre, music, and photography meet the spatial and conceptual frameworks of architecture and urban planning. The discussion seeks to trace intersections between these fields, to test their reciprocal potentials, and to open up new forms of exchange.
The future city will not be shaped by a single universal solution. It requires instead a plurality of situated, empathetic and continuously evolving approaches. These must enable dialogue across disciplines and actors, and critically engage with the constraints produced by economic and real-estate logics, in order to reveal new spatial and political possibilities. At its core lies the interplay between the spatial and atmospheric capacities of architecture and the broader societal ambitions of urban practice.
